Must everything be HDR? I've just discovered how many amazing good photograph(er)s there are on G+, and this is my main reason for spending time here instead of Facebook. However, of all the photographs I see here a lot of them are ruined (in my view) by being over processed in photomatix. It feels a little like when people first got their hands on photoshop and went crazy with all the fancy filters.

I don't hate everything in HDR, and I use it sometimes myself. Then again for many photographs is hard to say if HDR is applied. What is to much when it comes to HDR? When is HDR ok?
